Raymond Knowles

Dr. Raymond Knowles has a Ph.D. degree in geology from Penn State. After graduation, he accepted a position as an Assistant Professor of Geology at the City College of New York, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He was offered a post at the United Nations, to manage mineral resource projects in Africa. Subsequently, he was asked to take over the editorship of the United Nations journal Natural Resources Forum. He is now retired and moved to Sarasota, FL late in 2020.

While in New York he was appointed to his local Community Board, which acted as an interface between the public and our elected officials. He served on our Board's Parks and Transportation  Committees.
